Welcome to jonsteenbergen.com. I'll start this off by stating for the record that I am definitely not a copywriter. I'm much more comfortable writing code than creating a narrative about it, but since I've already written the code - here's the narrative!

I am a web developer/designer from Cincinnati Ohio and I spend my days coding, designing and managing at . After work I spend my time learning more code, planning my wedding, raising two amazing dogs and playing guitar.

I started designing websites almost 10 years ago, and it's definitely been an interesting trip. I've seen a lot of changes in the way things are done - the move from static sites to dynamic, database driven online applications to the death of the <FONT> tag (and fortunately the end of using caps in your tags...) I've spent the majority of that time honing my craft and reinventing my skill set. Web development is changing so quickly that if you don't continuously reeducate yourself you'll miss out on a world of opportunity.

I currently spend as much time developing in Ruby on Rails as I possibly can, which is not nearly enough. Most of my professional work is done in ColdFusion, which I still love and think is an amazing way to quickly develop powerful web applications.
